                                                       MY FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES

I have been raising funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund since September 2005 and to date have raised ?1,600 through:

  • Selling hand made cards and mobile phone charms to family, friends, work colleagues and in local outlets

  • Holding card making evenings and demonstrations at my home

  • Giving a card making demonstration at the Warton Women's Institute

  • Selling cards and items at 2 table top sales at St Cuthbert's Church in Lytham

  •  Office Christmas Raffle

  •  Office weekly bonus ball draw

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following people for their continued support in helping me to raise funds:

  • The owners of Lowther Gardens Cafe in Lytham - who have kindly allowed me to display and sell hand made cards in the cafe for the past 2 years.

  • Christine at Warton Post Office - who displays and sells my mobile / handbag phone charms

  • Everyone at work who takes part in the weekly bonus ball draw - a percentage of the winnings being donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.

I am very grateful to everyone who supports this worthy cause - in the hope that one day there will be a real future for those stricken down with this devastating cancer.  THANK YOU.

TANDEM SKY DIVE - SUNDAY 11TH NOVEMBER 2007

Chris Fenton, an employee of BAE Systems, took part in a Tandem Sky Dive in aid of the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund on Sunday 11th November.  The tandem sky dive took place at an airfield in Cockermouth, near Lancaster.  The day got off to a rocky start when wind and rain meant Chris was stood around waiting to see if the weather improved sufficiently for the sky dive to take place.  However, good fortune prevailed and at midday he took to the skies and performed his first ever tandem sky dive.

Chris getting his kit on   His transport is waiting......  Chris in action - flying high!

 He's landed with his backpack!

It was a tense time for his partner who anxiously awaited Chris's safe return to ground zero! ......

The smile says it all.  Well done Chris!

And a big thanks for raising ?250 for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund
